Helpful Home Solutions LLC is Zack and Haley McIntosh — a husband-and-wife contracting team based in Buffalo, just north of Monticello.
Small on purpose.
We started Helpful Home Solutions with a simple observation: around here, it's hard to find a contractor who shows up, tells the truth, and finishes. Not because the trades lack skill — because the model is broken. A salesman quotes, a crew you've never met builds, subs come and go, and nobody owns the result.
So we built the opposite. We stay deliberately small — Zack and Haley, one job's full attention at a time. We self-perform the carpentry, flooring, tile, drywall, paint, roofing, and siding, which means the whole project moves on one schedule with one standard. When we say no drywall cut open and left for someone else to patch, it's because there is no someone else. It's us.
We're insured and bonded, we quote for free, we answer emergency calls, and we discount labor for seniors and veterans. We live here — Buffalo, on the Tippecanoe — we work here, and we stand behind what we build.

The owners do the work
You meet Zack and Haley at the estimate. You see Zack and Haley on the job. Anything else, you'd hear about first — and it hasn't happened yet.
Truth over upsell
If the repair beats the replacement, we say so. If your cheaper option is genuinely fine, we say that too. We'd rather lose a line item than a neighbor's trust.
Finished means finished
Trim on, walls patched, paint touched, mess hauled. The job isn't done when the "main part" is done — it's done when you'd show it off.
Show up like it matters
Estimates on time, start dates honored, and progress you can see — often posted straight to Facebook the day it happens.
Protected, in writing
Insured, bonded, and happy to prove it. Scope and price in writing before we start. Payments tied to progress, not promises.
